Erkenntnis #392 - Singing - The Voice of the Soul
Singing is the voice of our soul. This is true for every person, for every upright person.
Singing does not mean to stand on a stage or to perform for the public. It is not about chasing the charts or getting applause.
Singing is the tender act of giving a voice to what is in us.
Our creator, God, our heavenly father, invented the human voice. With this God given voice we can ...
- talk - to one another
- say - words of wisdom
- teach - about life
- communicate - our worldview
- comfort - those in tears
- testify - beliefs and convictions
- express - praise, gratefulness and worship
... to all we meet.
And this very voice He gave us, allows us to sing together like we were one single voice - though we are many.
Yet, He knows every single one of us by name.
So, when we sing words of praise and worship, out of our deepest heart, we are precious to Him. Our praise is like a holy offering, pleasing in His sight - because we are all He wants.
What a gift is singing! Our voices! The sound of our heart!
